At Jamiro Broadcast, we harnessed the power of DANTE technology in our recently completed  Mo Radio studios. All the 3 Studios were  linked with DANTE for Audio routing between the sources and destinations thus providing a flexible and scalable audio network By utilizing DANTE over the local area network, we ensured seamless transmission of audio from the audio player to the audio mixer and logger.

 

This integration not only enhanced the efficiency and reliability of MO Radio’s operations but also maintained pristine audio quality throughout the broadcast chain. Introduction

The installation of a Turnkey UHF TV Channel was recently completed for a new RF FM TV station. The system featured a robust four-panel antenna array and a compact UHF Solid State Transmitter from Gates Air designed to ensure optimal signal transmission and coverage. The setup includes high-quality jumper cables, a splitter for efficient signal distribution, and an RF cable that connects the antenna to the transmitter. IP links offer a more flexible, scalable, and cost-effective solution compared to traditional methods, such as SDI. By leveraging Internet Protocol (IP) networks, broadcasters can ensure high-quality, low-latency transmissions, even over long distances. This technology also allows for easier integration with existing IT infrastructure, enabling broadcasters to streamline operations and enhance the overall efficiency of their workflows.

Case Study: Jamiro Broadcast’s IP STL Link Upgrade for Radio 47

At Jamiro Broadcast, we pride ourselves on delivering state-of-the-art solutions to our clients. A recent project that highlights our expertise in IP STL  link installations is our work with Radio 47. To enhance their broadcasting capabilities, Jamiro Broadcast implemented a robust wireless IP link connecting the Studio and transmission site- 30 Kms away from the studio.

The STL IP link integrated with EtherMPX  Codec that was used to transport digital MPX  ( MPX over AES67) with latency down to 2.5mS. With uncompressed linear PCM Codec, the customer can enjoy “studio quality” uncompressed audio broadcast at the transmitter site which overall improves the listener experience.

 

In addition to contributing uncompressed audio to the transmission site, Our IP STL Link allows realtime signal  monitoring and telemetry of FM site from the Studio, leveraging  on the Link Bandwith capacity.

VOA, or Voice of America, is a U.S. government-funded international broadcasting service that delivers news, information, and cultural programs to a global audience in multiple languages. Recently, Jamiro played a pivotal role in the construction and equipping of VOA’s state-of-the-art studio in Kenya. This ambitious project demanded extensive automation and seamless integration, enabling a producer in Washington, D.C., to effortlessly run a show in Kenya. One of the standout technologies utilized for this installation was NDI (Network Device Interface). Cutting-edge robotic cameras with NDI support were selected, eliminating the need for cumbersome HDMI or SDI cables. This innovation not only simplified video delivery to the playout system but also allowed precise control over the active viewing angles of the capture cameras.
