Jamiro Broadcast has been tasked for an entire project management process which requires designing, building, installing, and commissioning a turnkey solar powered FM transmitter for a privately owned radio station in Kenya. Being our first project to deploy a 100% turnkey solar powered FM transmission site with a medium power transmitter of 2KW, our research and development team had the design ready for 24 hours operation in any given day.
Our “FM Solar” is an integrated solution rather than a stand-alone product with design specification ranging from a simple 50W transmitter up to 2KW. We are able to deliver a Turnkey system according to the specification required by our customers within the power range. With the integration of DDS on the FM Modulator board, the system is capable of receiving audio from FM, Satellite, IP Sources as well as analog and/or AES inputs. FM Solar system includes a logic board fitted with IoT to automate some tasks in the FM transmission site. E.g, A Transmitter will adjust the output power automatically depending on the battery voltage threshold to avoid depleting the charge on the batteries.
